Better Orienteering is a collaborative project to help newcomers start orienteering and to help existing orienteers improve. It aims to help people start and get better at orienteering, world-wide.

What is Orienteering?

Orienteering is a navigation sport. Participants use a detailed topographic (paper!) map to select routes through the terrain and visit designated locations. Participants can go as individuals or teams. The event is timed with staggered starts, so the fastest time wins. Courses also can be enjoyed as a walk in the woods, with difficulty levels from beginner to expert offered at most events.    more
